PVDF reducer

  Datasheet (PDF)

The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard reducer SDR33 d90-225mm PVDF is a high-integrity thermoplastic fitting designed for smooth, concentric diameter transitions within industrial piping systems conveying aggressive chemicals or high-purity media. Manufactured from unpigmented, opaque polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this reducer provides outstanding chemical resistance against strong oxidizing acids, salts, solvents, and fuels across an operational temperature range from -20 degrees C to 140 degrees C. Configured in SDR33 geometry for a nominal pressure rating of PN10 (10 bar at 20 degrees C), the component demonstrates high mechanical stability, boasting a tensile elasticity modulus of at least 1800 N/mm2 and yield stress exceeding 48 N/mm2. The spigot ends conform geometrically to ISO 10931, ensuring seamless integration using conventional butt fusion in accordance with DVS 2207-15, infrared welding (IR Plus per DVS 2207-6), or bead and crevice-free (BCF Plus) joining methods. Featuring an engineered inner surface finish with a roughness of Ra less than or equal to 0.5 micrometres (20 microinches), it optimizes hydraulic flow characteristics while preventing particulate entrapment. Meeting stringent material standards including FDA 21 CFR 177.2510, EU 10/2011, USP 25 Class VI (physiologically non-toxic), ASME BPE, DIBt, and FM-4910 listing for cleanroom applications, this fitting is ideally suited for pharmaceutical purified water (PW), deionized (DI) water loops, and chemical distribution lines subjected to steam, hot water, or ozone sanitisation protocols.
